Making Disclosure A Reality For Healthcare Organizations

Conversation about Senior Living/LTC and Disclosure & Apology

The lion's share of the work on disclosure & apology has been done in acute care.  However, there is a large and growing need for the disclosure message to be shared with senior living/LTC organizations. Over the years, Sorry Works! has been the only disclosure & apology organization to conduct training in this space and use appropriate LTC wording in all content and training materials.

Last week, Sorry Works! Founder Doug Wojcieszak was invited by CAC Specialty to participate in a recorded video discussion on disclosure and apology in the senior living/LTC space. The video discussion was hosted by Mark Holt, Senior Vice President of Risk Management for CAC Specialty and David Thurber, Senior VP of Legal-Senior Living for CAC Specialty.  Here is the link so you and your colleagues can view the discussion.  There is a lot of valuable information, cases, and stories in this recorded conversation -- please share with colleagues and friends.

Two additional points:
1) Those in acute care who work with seniors and also patients nearing or in palliative or hospice care will find this video discussion useful.  Please share this recorded discussion with colleagues and friends.

2) Sorry Works! offers a subscription service for comprehensive video training courses for LTC/senior living organizations.  This subscription approach (either monthly or annually) allows you to have content available to train all current staff, managers, and leadership along with future staff.  For more information, click on this link.

Sincerely,

- Doug
