Making Disclosure A Reality For Healthcare Organizations

Mediation Services For Med-Mal Cases Offered By Sorry Works!

Wojcieszak Head & ShoulderOver the years, I have had several colleagues and friends say I should provide mediation services for medical malpractice cases. My colleagues have encouraged me to become a mediator because I understand and appreciate both sides in medical malpractice cases. I know the family side of the equation with the death of my brother and injury to my nephew due to medical errors, and having worked with several patients and families on their cases/stories. I also understand the perspective of physicians, nurses, hospitals, and nursing homes, having taught disclosure and apology to thousands of healthcare, insurance, and legal professionals. During the last 12+ years, I have built Sorry Works! into a credible and fair voice in the disclosure and patient safety movement because I don't pull punches with any stakeholders. Moreover, when I have worked with individuals or organizations, I have strived to get folks to look at the entire picture when it comes to potential medical errors...not just the economic piece, but also the emotional and spiritual components (which are often overlooked or disregarded during a typical claims process). All stakeholders deserves complete closure in a medical malpractice case.

I was formally trained as a mediator through a court-approved program offered by the Center for Conflict Resolution (CCR) in Chicago, Illinois. For more information on mediation services offered through Sorry Works! including rates, please call me directly at 618-559-8168 or e-mail doug@sorryworks.net.
